I remember working in a call center and even though everyone was on the phone talking with customers, there was an eerie silence throughout the building. That is because they used white noise machines. They cover the noises so that is doesn’t get too loud and keeps everything calm and orderly. If there was a lot of talking or sounds they could turn up the white noise to overcome it, or vice versa, they could turn down the machines so it wasn’t so overpowering.

Just the same as in my office setting, this device’s volume can be controlled and has the same smooth sound of white noise. The only concern I have is if it is effective with the noises in your head compared to the outside third party sounds. In concept it seems to work, so why not?
