Sound Oasis Sound Therapy System Tinnitus Sound Machine

The Sound Oasis Sound Therapy System (S-650) basically plays sounds to help you relax into a deep sleep. It comes preloaded with 12 sounds (nature, etc) to help Tinnitus sufferer’s go to sleep. The Sound Oasis S-650 also has the ability to take “sound cards” so you can play different sounds rather the ones that have been preloaded.

Whether this is just a fancy replacement for your standard CD player I don’t know. One thing that does seem nice about this product is that it is very small so it won’t take up a lot of space on your night stand. Nothing is more cheesy than a big, bulky CD player sitting next to your pillow! Additionally, the S-650 has the dual capacity to be an alarm clock and has a timer system so the sounds/music you fall asleep to automatically turn off in the night once you have fallen asleep. This also includes and gentle off setting where it gradually turns down before shutting completely off.

Pillow Speaker for Tinnitus – With 1 CD

There are many types of Pillow’s with speakers on the market. Most however have the speakers built into the top of the pillow where it could make for an uncomfortable night sleeping if you were to roll over them during the night. This Pillow speaker isn’t built into the pillow however, you slide it under your existing pillow.

Being able to use your own pillow while taking advantage of pillow design speakers seems to have it’s benefits. For one, you can use your current pillow and not trade off for a cheaper one that doesn’t work for you as well. When it comes to my pillow, I have a special one that I sleep on every night and even take it with me when I travel!

The speakers can be linked to your iPod, MP3, TV, etc and can even be linked to your alarm clock for the morning. Being able to listen to relaxing music when trying to go to sleep seems like it could be a benefit to anyone whether you are suffering from anxiety, stress or Tinnitus.

Ear Therapy Sound Card

The Ear Therapy Sound Card is an optional add on the the Sound Oasis S-650. The sound card has 12 different sound options to help you sleep or work while dealing with Tinnitus. Some of the sounds are nature sounds that include the ocean, rain, stream while others are different options of white noise to mask the Tinnitus sounds you may be hearing. Included on the sound card are six sounds that were created by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, an expert on sound therapy. These sounds were specially created to help with Tinnitus.

While the Ear Sound Therapy Card does not claim to cure your Tinnitus, it claims to help you to better cope with it by masking the sounds or adding in other distractions to your mind from the monotonous sounds you are hearing. The card does require that you have the Sound Oasis S-650 to play it as well.

Sound Oasis Travel Tinnitus Sound Machine

The Sound Oasis Travel Tinnitus Sound Machine is a handheld, portable sound device to help you tune out your Tinnitus. With 18 digitally recorded sounds you have an array of “distractions” to choose from. You can also set an alarm clock so it goes of when you need to wake up. This can be great for traveling on airplanes. Set the clock for the approximate time of landing and the alarm will go off. Supposedly the alarm types you have to choose from includes an anti-jet lag alarm that reduces the jet-lag feeling.

The Sound Oasis also has features that allow you to record your own alarm clock sounds or memo’s. Another feature it has is a “gradual off” mode where you can set to start to turn down gradually after a certain amount of time. This is great so you can sleep peacefully once you fall asleep and it won’t risk waking you back up. All in all, this seems to be a great travel companion especially for the every day Tinnitus sufferer.

Sound Oasis Sleep Therapy Pillow Tinnitus Sound Machine

The Sound Oasis Sleep Therapy Pillow SP-150 is basically a pillow with built in speakers. This allows you to listen to tunes while you sleep right at your ears so you do not disturb anyone else who may not want to listen to music or sounds. I know from experience that it is not only really uncomfortable to have headphones on while you sleep but it is also a pain to deal with the wires when they wake you up because you get tangled in them while you sleep.

So with the Sound Oasis Sleep Therapy Pillow you can listen to your favorite sounds/music to help mask your Tinnitus without dealing with all the electronic nonsense. You can link the speakers to your TV, CD player, iPods and more for the ultimate versatility. Additionally, the speakers can be removed so you can wash the pillow (hand or machine washable). This pillow is also made with hypoallergenic polyester fiberfill for your ultimate comfort.

Sound Screen for Tinnitus

White noise machines are actually pretty incredible. I remember working in a call center and even though everyone was on the phone talking with customers, there was an eerie silence throughout the building. That is because they used white noise machines. They cover the noises so that is doesn’t get too loud and keeps everything calm and orderly. If there was a lot of talking or sounds they could turn up the white noise to overcome it, or vice versa, they could turn down the machines so it wasn’t so overpowering.

The Sound Screen: the White Noise Generator for Tinnitus Sufferers would probably work the same way I imagine. Just the same as in my office setting, this device’s volume can be controlled and has the same smooth sound of white noise. The only concern I have is if it is effective with the noises in your head compared to the outside third party sounds. In concept it seems to work, so why not?

Pillowsonic-Stereo Pillow Speaker With 2 CDs

Sometimes, no matter how much research you do or how many different treatments you go through, there isn’t a cure or answer to what you are looking for. So when it comes to situations like that, the best way to deal with it is work around it so it doesn’t affect your life as much as it does currently. The Pillowsonic-Stereo Pillow Speaker allows you to listen to your favorite music without having to wear earphones. This is possible because the speakers are built right into the pillow.

Whether covering up your Tinnitus with music at night is going to help you sleep better, I don’t know. It does sound convenient though compared to having headphones with the wires on at night when you sleep (I’ve done it and your ears start to hurt because the earpieces are uncomfortable). The pillow has a long single wire that you can plug into your CD player, MP3, TV, etc so you can hear the sounds right in your pillow. Additionally the Pillowsonic-Stereo Pillow comes with two relaxing CD’s to help mask your Tinnitus as you sleep.

HearWell Tinnitus Cure

Hearing loss is something everyone is susceptible to, no matter who you are. So to have a supplement to help deter hearing loss or Tinnitus only makes sense. Hear Well, a dietary supplement claims to help promote circulation in the auditory system, support hearing clarity, nourish the hearing system with important nutrients and fights free radical deterioration of hearing cells. Hear Well justifies the need of this supplement by providing information on how your body’s overall health can affect your hearing.

For example, if you have high cholesterol or a high fat diet, that can slow down the blood and oxygen delivery to the hearing cells therefor making them weaker. Additionally, by listening to sounds that over 90 decibels can be quite derogatory to your ears, especially over a long period of time.

HearWell is all natural and contains some of the best herbs and vitamins vital to hearing. This includes ingredients such as Carnitine (amino acid), Co-Q10 (antioxidant), Vinpocetine (fights blood stickiness), Vitamin B, Vitamin A and more.

Detinnitiser Tinnitus Relief

Detinnitising is a program in which you listen to an arrangement of sounds such as pulsating sounds, clicks and puffs, called ‘residual inhibition’. After listening to these sounds Tinnitus is reported to be suppressed immediately. However only for a short time. If you continue with the program then you can have longer lasting relief from your typical Tinnitus. The reason they think this works is because your brain, like you gets tired of the same noises it hears days in and days out. So by listening to these other sounds, it gets relief and prefers those noises.

One way they say you can test for yourself before buying the product to know if it is going to work for you or not is to crumple and empty crisp packet close to your ears. If your Tinnitus temporarily reduces then you know this program could be a great benefit to you.

The Detinnitising CD’s are a two disc set that you can play on your CD player as background noise. They are even recommended to have playing on repeat mode while you are sleeping for reduces Tinnitus symptoms when you wake up in the morning.

Another product that takes this concept even further is the Detinnitiser. This is an electronic device that is specifically designed to suppress Tinnitus and uses the same concepts as the CDs.
